Archive

Cesare Leonardi’s archive, preserved in his homecum-studio in Viale Emilio Po in Modena, is on loan for use by the association Archivio Architetto Cesare Leonardi (AACL), concerned with its conservation and valorisation. In 2011, the archive was recognised as a ‘cultural asset of particularly important historical interest’ in line with articles 10 (paragraph 3, letter b) and 13 of the legislative decree dated 22 January 2004, No. 42 and subsequent amendments (Code of Cultural and Landscape Heritage) with the Decree of the Regional Directorship for Cultural and Landscape Heritage of Emilia-Romagna. Since 2015, the mass of documentation has been subjected to a process of reordering and inventorying by the archivist Jessica Pagani and the architect and archivist Francesco Samassa. The intervention is promoted as part of the activities of the AACL, under the supervision of the Archival and Bibliographical Soprintendenza of the Emilia-Romagna Regional Council, and carried out with financial support from the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio of Modena banking foundation.
